- Bio: FARGO — Louise Nather, 99, Fargo, died May 3, 2016, at Bethany on 42nd. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Barnesville, Minn., with the Rev. Chris Leach officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
- Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dobmeier Funeral Home, Barnesville, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
- Louise Malina Langager was born Sept. 11, 1916, to Andrew and Helen Langager in Logan County. She grew up near Napoleon and attended school. Her mother, Helen, died young and Louise helped raise her two younger brothers.
- She was united in marriage to Vincent Nather on Jan. 31, 1937. They farmed in Kidder County, near Dawson, where Louise helped her husband with the farm. They moved to Fargo in 1947, where she raised her family. She worked at Grace Lutheran School in 1952, and from there she worked at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo as a nurse’s aide, in central supply and finished her career as housekeeping supervisor, retiring in 1979. Vincent died in 1979, and after that she moved closer to family and lived in Bismarck until 2000. She then resided in Barnesville first in her own home, then assisted living at Golden Manor Nursing Home, and the last three years at Bethany Homes in Fargo.
- Her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were of the utmost importance for her. Throughout her life, she was active in her church at each of the communities she lived in.
- She is survived by four children, Mabel (Ronald) Sacrison, Fargo, Morris Nather, Bismarck, Sharon (Larry) Goerger, Peoria, Ariz., and Gary (Sue) Nather, Bismarck; nine grandchildren, Gregory (Tonya) Sacrison, Davenport, Iowa, Michael (Mary Nosal) Sacrison, Barnesville, Brenda Sacrison, Fargo, Mary Jane (Mark) Shroyer, Galesburg, Ill., Sarah Nather Jacobs, Fargo, Nicole (Dale) Judkins, Peoria, Ariz., Jordan Goerger, Firestone, Colo., Kristin (David) Bader, Mandan, and Paul (Susie) Nather, Bismarck; 11 great-grandchildren, Taryn (Zach) Menge, Moline, Ill., Devyn Sacrison, Davenport, Iowa, Jordan Shroyer and Lucas Shroyer, Galesburg, Ill., Josh Judkins, Kansas City, Kan., Jacee Judkins, Peoria, Ariz., Paige (Cameron) Fleck, Hazen, Emily (Zach) Jacobson, Bismarck, Riley Bader, Fargo, and Carson Nather and Hannah Nather, Bismarck; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
- Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Helen Langager; her husband, Vincent Nather; two sisters, Nora Osborn and Stella Johnson; two brothers, Simon Langager and Bert Langager; and one grandson, Jason Goerger.
