- BRITTON - Services will be held in the Skudenes Lutheran church near Pierpont Thursday at 2 p.m., for John Gunderson, 57, Britton farm laborer who died Dec. 31 in the hospital here of injuries suffered in an automobile accident a week previously. Burial will be in the Skudenes cemetery.
- Gunderson sustained fatal injuries when a car in which he was riding dropped into a cement block culvert 15 miles east of here during poor visibility and bad driving conditions. Robert Stadler, driver of the car, was treated for cuts about the face and a fractured rib.
- Mr. Gunderson was born March 24, 1893, in Day county and had been a resident of the Britton community most of his life. He never married.
- Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Eric Christopherson, Langford, Mrs. John Tom, Britton, Mrs. Louise Stadler, Britton, and a brother, Emil Gunderson of Kidder.
- The Vander Leest funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
