She, along with older brother Sigurd, and younger twins Myrtle (Jappe) and Clifford, was raised on the family homestead west of Big Sandy (what is know as the Prater place) and later the farmstead where nephew Lenard Jappe and wife Nancy now live.
- Minnie attended school in Big Sandy with the class of 1932. She married Eugene Ira Wilkinson in October of 1936. They moved to Washington where Eugene worked as a lumberjack for the Great Bear Logging Company. Together they raised three children, Eugene, Jr., Clara, and Dorothy.
- In 1951 the Wilkinson's moved their family to Mead, Washington, a suburb of Spokane, where Eugene worked at a sawmill Mead was Minnie's home for the next 59 years.
- After Eugene passed away in May 1986, Minnie filled her time with grandchildren, church activities, and traveling between her three children's homes. She was active and in good health all of her life and had told family last summer that she did not want a party to celebrate her 95th birthday that October because she wanted to wait until her 96th birthday this year on 10-10-10. Her extended family was looking forward to joining her on that special day!
- Minnie is survived by her son Eugene, Jr. of Tennessee, her daughter Clara (Robert Kongelbak) of Washington, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
- She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother May, her husband Eugene, her daughter Dorothy Morris and son-in-law Glen Morris, brothers Sigurd and Clifford Dyrland, and sister Myrtle Jappe, and several nephews and nieces.
- Services were held on August 7 at the Greenbluff Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colbert, Washington. Burial was in the Peone Cemetery in Mead, Washington.
