- Ida M. Bakken, 85, of Bagley, died Sunday morning, February 21 at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Milan C. Davig officiating.
Burial will be in the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bakken was born September 4, 1896 in Popple Township, the daughter of Gilbert and Annie Tollefson. Mrs. Bakken taught school near Alida in 1916, later teaching at Kettle River and schools in Becker and Ottertail counties.
She married Omer Bakken on April 23, 1924 in Bemidji. Mrs. Bakken was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the A.L.C.W. and was an organizer of the Clearwater County Historical Society.
After their marriage, the Bakken's lived a short time in Brainerd, moving back to the Bagley area where they resided ever since. Mr. Bakken passed away on March 30, 1981.
Mrs. Bakken is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Lora) Weber of Minneapolis; a son Robert, Sauk Center; and five grandchildren.
